The stellar line up for 2013-14 consists of nine performances, ranging from viola soloist Veit Hertenstein to the New York Chamber Soloists, a thirteen-member ensemble! Our 41st season will highlight one of the best-kept secrets of chamber music; the viola quintet – Roberto Díaz will join the Fine Arts String Quartet in a program featuring three of Beethoven's great Viola Quintets and the Jupiter String Quartet with James Dunham will perform the Brahms Viola Quintet in G Major. Beethoven's Piano Trio Cycle #3 will feature the Amelia Piano Trio and to mix things up a bit, we have the exciting and diverse violin, clarinet, and piano trio "miXt", comprised of Young Concert Artists winners. To round out the Chamber Music Series, CCS will present the Polish Meccorre String Quartet on their North American tour debut; and the Grand Prize-winner of the 2010 Fischoff Competition, the Dover String Quartet. The season finale will feature the 2014 Chesapeake International Chamber Music Competition Gold Medal Winner.

The popular CandleKids series will feature the well-loved fairy tale "Pinocchio" by Candlelight favorite, the National Marionette Theatre. Peabody Opera will perform Humperdinck's classic "Hansel and Gretel" and we are pleased to bring our audience musicals based on the best-selling children's books "Jigsaw Jones: The Case of the Class Clown" (ArtsPower National Touring Theatre) and "Stuart Little"(Theatre IV).
