Candlelight Concert Society has a new vision for our CandleKids programs. For several decades we presented programs which bring young children and their families into the concert hall. This season we are sponsoring several programs that will bring CandleKids to venues where families already gather for entertaining and educational programs.
This past summer Candlelight Concert Society and the Howard County Libraries collaborated on a program to introduce young children to quality music and books. The "Meet the Music Family" programs were held on five Tuesday afternoons, first introducing individual instruments (percussion, strings, brass, woodwinds), then having a concert performance by a musical group. These programs were a great success, attracting 294 attendees!
