Pianist and Naxos artist Soyeon Lee won first prize in the 2010 Naumburg International Piano Competition, which entails a cash award of $10,000 and two recitals in New York City, as well as many performances throughout the U.S. The young Korean musician has already been hailed by The New York Times as a pianist with "a huge, richly varied sound, a lively imagination and a firm sense of style", while The Washington Post has lauded her for her "stunning command of the keyboard". Her Naxos recording of Scarlatti Sonatas has been critically acclaimed.
