January 13, 2013 National Marionette Theatre - "Peter and the Wolf"
The talented Syrotiak family returns to CandleKids this year with their latest production. The classic tale of Peter and the Wolf, with music by Sergei Prokofiev, about bravery, curiosity, ingenuity and "listening to your Grandfather!" has enchanted audiences since its premier in 1936. Based on the original Russian Folktale, National Marionette Theatre's version of the story features beautiful music to introduce young audiences to the various instruments of the orchestra combined with stunning scenery and hand-crafted marionettes. A timeless favorite for all ages!

The Harlem Quartet 'jazzes' things up with a classical and jazz program that's sure to make you move in your seat! Lively dance tunes from Mozart to Chick Corea, the American jazz pianist, whose composition "Mozart Goes Dancing" has inspired this program for young audiences.

Follow Junie B's adventures as she writes down the story of her life in her "Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal."
This musical presented by TheatreworksUSA is based on four volumes in Barbara Park's Junie B. Jones series of books, illustrated by Denise Brunkus and published by Random House: Junie B, First Grader (at Last!); Junie B, Boss of Lunch; Junie B, One-Man Band; and Top-Secret Personal Beeswax: A Journal by Junie B (and Me!)
